Road to Tamangan Beach, Brgy. Limaong
*not all travel details stated, this travel mostly intended for anybody who has their own rides preferably motorcycle
Seeing those stunning photos on Facebook about this "Limaong beach/Tamangan beach" made us curious how gorgeous this beach is. So we just planned an exploration (used this term instead of an outing coz we are about to explore something new. hahaha ) slash adventure which is a week away but we planned a expense less travel (hopefully).
Since Brgy. Limaong is almost a 3 hour (Zamboanga City proper to Vitali 1hr and 45 minutes + Vitali to Brgy Limaong another 45 minutes) travel , good thing we have our rides (motorcycle).
April 29, 2018 (5:30 A.M.)
Call time is early, coz we kinda like to feel the cool morning breeze instead of a very sun and to arrive there early.
For people who had to commute, you can ride the van from the city proper going to the Barangay of Vitali first. Then you just have to ride a "habal-habal" from Vitali to Barangay Limaong or strait to the beach they call it "Tamangan Beach". (for the van fare I'm quite not sure of the fare but more or less it would be 100php - 300php, but for the habal-habal it would cost you 150php).
Though tiring , we find travelling with motorcycle is fun because we got to see the different scenery since Limaong is located on the East Cost of the Zamboanga City so we got to see the sea view and the vast mountain views too.

May I present to you God's Humble Creations :) (scenery during the trip)
So indeed we were right, we found an adventure, the road to Limaong was really never easy, it literally has UPs and DOWNs (hahahaha) , t'was a lucky day for us because some "habal-habal" folks told us that we might find it hard to drive the road coz there was a heavy rain last night so expect the road would be a little bit challenging. And so "VOILA!" Let the challenge begin!
Other than the challenge for your driving skills on the way, a 20 minute hike is also a requirement (hahaha pwew!)
But then, still the adventure was worth risking for a breathtaking view awaits.

Ladies and Gentlemen, here is TAMANGAN BEACH
All the tiredness paid off, clear turquoise waters, colorful fishes just on the shore, vibrant corrals and the amazing rock formations. I just hope people who visits the place would have the initiative to take care of the place, so it will stay the same gorgeous features til the future as what it is now.
I would recommend snorkeling, scuba and cliff diving as future proposals to whoever wants to develop this place but please retain the simplicity of the vicinity as is. And if ever someone would want to remove the huge rocks on the shore to make it more easy to walk on, please think twice, for there a lot of small fishes living on these rocks ( I haven't got the opportunity to take a photo coz I'm just using my phone and unfortunately not water resistant) ,and its shoreline also is a home of vibrant looking corrals.
Hope this mini blog would be a mini help for your future Limaong Expedition :) ADIOS!
Sincerely,
M.L.
