Lantawan Grassland (Pasonanca, Zamboanga City, Philippines)

Stressful week? Here's an idea to distress yourself, try to have a joyride up on the hill. With its green, grassy and free feeling overlooking the sea and the city; the nature offers you "LANTAWAN GRASSLAND". Located at Barangay Pasonanca in Zamboanga City.

How to get there ?

If you own a motorcycle, it is a big advantage to save money. You just have to drive at approximately 18 minutes from the city proper which is 5.18 km (approximately) .

When you get there (if you happen to have your own motorcycle) you can ask the locals the road leading to Lantawan Grassland. Though if you are a backpacker then, from the city you can ride a jeepney to Pasonanca and just tell the driver to drop you at Red Restaurant. Well practically, the road leading to Lanatwan is just across the Red Restaurant since the restaurant is visible (which is at the side of the main road) it wouldn't lead the driver to confusion though. But for some folks, they use Pasonanca National High school as their trademark (this is another option though because this is not so visible from the high way). When you get there, there are "HABAL-HABAL" that you can ride going up the hill. But if you wanna get extra fit, you can tell the driver to drop you off at DENR IX Regional office and just walk your way up there. If you think its scary? NO!, many locals jog from the city all the way up the hill.
